Cans for Care Collection at VFW Parking Lot – 84 Eastern Avenue

Saturday, April 11 • Cans for Care Collection Event

10:00 AM – 1:00 PM • VFW Parking Lot • 84 Eastern Avenue, Dedham

Winter is behind us — and all those 5¢ redeemable containers are ready for a new purpose. Bring your cans and bottles to our tent at the VFW parking lot and help turn everyday recyclables into meaningful support for Dedham seniors.

We gladly accept MA 5¢ deposit cans, plastic bottles, and glass bottles of all sizes.
Please note: water bottles, energy drinks, and juice containers are not redeemable and should be placed in curbside recycling.

Containers do not need to be separated, and while rinsed items are appreciated, we accept containers in all conditions. For safety, glass bottles are best placed in cardboard boxes rather than mixed bags.

Thanks to the generosity of our community, 21,525 containers were collected from mid-October through mid-January, surpassing our 20,000 goal and generating $1,007 to support our Nourish and Inform programs for local seniors.

Let’s build on that momentum together. With your help, Round Two can go even further — bringing comfort, connection, and care to seniors across our community.

Even a small bag of 5¢ containers makes a meaningful difference.
If your collection has grown beyond what you can transport, bulk pickup may be arranged through our request form or by leaving a phone message, and a volunteer will follow up when possible.

Make your cans (and bottles) care.
